As summer knocks the cold, rainy spring out of the way here in the Northeast, I would like to share some news about the next chapter in my work life. After a great run as CEO of the Boston-based Center for Social Innovation (C4), I am moving on to launch an independent consulting practice through jo consulting.
C4 remains in very good hands as my dear friend Kristen Paquette steps in to run the place. She is steady, driven, and committed to continuing C4's work as a thought leader in homelessness and behavioral health. And I will stay on as a consultant to C4 and continue leading the SPARC Initiative on race and homelessness, as well as some of our NIH-funded research studies.
Beyond that, I am open to what comes next. I will continue the work of preventing and ending homelessness, pushing the public health field in new directions, and speaking out for justice. The main thing is that I want to continue to do work I care about with people I like. That's what changes things.
Even in the face of these tumultuous times, I remain more hopeful than ever that we can achieve racial equity, end homelessness, and accomplish any other outrageous goal to which we set ourselves. I look forward to continuing that work together.
